In December, a fire damaged over a dozen buildings in an East Cambridge neighborhood, leaving more than 125 residents displaced. Cambridge Mayor E. Denise Simmons established the fund to collect donations for affected families and individuals.
“We’ve been privileged to operate in Cambridge for many years and we want to help our neighbors as they recover from this devastating fire,” said Gregory Poling, GCP President and Chief Executive Officer. “Cambridge is not only GCP’s global headquarters, but home for a significant number of our employees.”
GCP employees rallied together to help, donating online and in person. Over 300 employees work at GCP’s Cambridge location.
Donations can still be made on the Mayor’s Fire Relief Fund Gofundme page.
